About the Speaker: Pang Yee Ean, founder of Urbina Capital
Yee Ean is the Founder of Urbina Capital, a newly setup infrastructure fund management company that specializes in investing in socially and economically sustainable infrastructure projects, such as water supply and middle income housing in the region.
Formerly serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Surbana Jurong Capital, Yee Ean led the investment platform under Surbana Jurong Group dedicated to financing infrastructure and urban development. This venture capitalized on Surbana Jurong Group's extensive engineering prowess and development network, boasting an impressive 70-year track record, a workforce of 16,500 skilled engineering and urban professionals, and a global presence with over 120 offices.
Prior to this appointment, Yee Ean was Director General of Investment Operations in AIIB. Mr. Pang led the charge in AIIB's endorsement of solar, wind, and hydropower initiatives. He additionally pioneered the utilization of equity funds and commercial financial establishments as avenues for engagement in infrastructure undertakings.
He has also held various senior positions at Ascendas, including Senior Vice President in charge of Real Estates Funds where he co-led the SGX listing of a S$700 million market value Ascendas Hospitality Trust, and Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas Services Pte Ltd, where he oversaw the asset management of Ascendas’ industrial and commercial developments in both listed and non-listed entities in Singapore.
