We are currently representing a Singapore based D&B firm, specialising in workplace design.
They are rapidly expanding in the SEA region, and are looking for a Country Manager to join their office in Jakarta, Indonesia. 


Key responsibility:
- Develop and implement the company's strategic objectives in Indonesia, aligning with overall regional goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the company’s market share in the workplace design sector.
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the seamless execution of workplace design and build projects.
- Manage and optimize the company’s resources, including budgeting, staffing, and project management to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure that all projects meet the company’s standards for quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Cultivate relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders within the industry.
- Lead sales initiatives, pitch proposals, and secure contracts for workplace design projects.
- Expand the company's client portfolio by targeting new sectors and markets within Malaysia.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Set performance targets and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team objectives are met.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Oversee financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting for the Malaysia office.
- Implement cost control measures to maintain profitability while ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
- Report regularly to the regional headquarters on financial and operational performance.
- Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Manage risk by implementing and monitoring robust governance frameworks.
- Liaise with legal, regulatory, and government bodies as necessary.

Key qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role within the design and build industry, with a focus on workplace design.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience in business development, client management, and sales within the design and build sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent strategic thinking, with a solid understanding of the Malaysian market and workplace design trends.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
