We are currently working with a Data Centre developer / operator in Japan who is on a look out for a Data Centre Operation Director. If you are successful, you will be working for a newly built hyperscale Data Centres with new technologies specifically built for TOP IT/Cloud companies. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the data centre, ensuring 24/7 uptime, optimal performance, and security.
- Oversee infrastructure maintenance, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades, ensuring scalability and compliance with evolving technology standards.
- Collaborate with IT, network, and security teams to implement best practices, operational procedures, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Develop and manage budgets, driving cost-efficiency while ensuring the highest standards of data centre reliability.
- Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree or certifications in data centre management preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in data centre operations, with 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including cooling, power distribution, and network systems.
- Proven experience with disaster recovery planning, incident management, and business continuity strategies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
