We are representing a well-established real estate private equity firm with a diverse portfolio of assets across the world. We are seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Executive to join our team in Japan, responsible for leading financial planning, accounting, and reporting functions for our asset management business.

As a Finance and Accounting Executive, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support asset management decisions. You will work closely with the asset management team to optimize asset performance, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for asset management portfolio
- Oversee accounting operations, including financial statement preparation and audit management
- Develop and implement financial models, dashboards, and reports to drive asset performance insights
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and funding activities for asset management portfolio
- Ensure compliance with Japanese accounting standards (J-GAAP) and tax regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, asset management, and development
- Provide strategic financial guidance to support asset management decisions
- Assist in preparing financial reports for investors and management

Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in real estate or asset management
- Proven track record of success in financial leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of Japanese accounting standards (J-GAAP) and tax regulations
- Excellent financial analysis, modeling, and reporting skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Fluency in Japanese (N1/N2) and English (Business level)
- Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) or finance (e.g., CFA) preferred
- Experience with real estate investment funds or private equity firms
- Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and financial reporting
- Experience with financial planning and analysis software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Adaptive Insights)
- Experience with asset management accounting and finance reporting
