We are currently representing an international Data Centre Operator seeking a highly skilled Legal Director to oversee all legal matters pertaining to our data center operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts essential to data center operations, including sales and purchase agreements, lease agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, master services agreements, NDAs, MOUs, customer and supplier agreements, procurement agreements, order forms, connectivity and network agreements, terms and conditions, RFPs, issuance of letter of demand, and review of marketing contracts.


Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts related to data center operations, including but not limited to sales and purchase agreements, lease agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, master services agreements, NDAs, MOUs, customer and supplier agreements, procurement agreements, order forms, connectivity and network agreements, terms and conditions, RFPs, and marketing contracts.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
Develop and maintain contract templates and standard operating procedures.

Legal Compliance:
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting data center operations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Advise management on legal risks and implications associated with business decisions.

Litigation Management:
- Manage disputes and litigation related to data center operations.
- Liaise with external counsel as necessary.

Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with data center operations.
- Develop strategies to minimize legal exposure and protect company interests.

Due Diligence:
- Conduct legal due diligence for new data center projects, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Training and Education:
- Provide training to employees on legal issues relevant to their roles.
- Keep internal stakeholders informed of changes in laws and regulations affecting data center operations.

Key Qualifications:
- Minimally a law degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 10 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contracts and commercial transactions in any industry.
- Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts.
- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing litigation and disputes is preferred.
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy laws is a plus.
