We are currently working with a key player in the regional development of Geotechnical projects & Infrastructure projects; an accredited Professional Engineer in Geotechnical in Singapore. If you are successful in this role, you will be employed with one of the most established international consultancies in the region as well as be part of an upcoming expansion phase here in APAC.
Responsibility
- Application for Permit to commence structural works.
- Forms and checklists for all Temporary Works and Permanent Works design submissions.
- Progress reports/updates including, but not limited to, Monthly Declaration Forms and Audits on the Temporary Works and Permanent Works.
- As-built drawings of all Temporary Works and Permanent Works and any forms required by the Authority, BCA, and other relevant authorities and agencies.
- Review the construction method submissions and risk assessment reports by the Contractor to ensure minimal impact to these buildings and structures.
- In the event of damage to Surrounding Structures, the QP(S) shall perform his statutory responsibilities and conduct an immediate inspection and assessment of the affected structure. The QP(S) shall also recommend appropriate remedial measures to the OIC so as to ensure that the affected structure is safe and sound.
- To liaise and co-ordinate with A/E Consultant, the Contractor, QP(D), BCA, the OIC and all other relevant parties to resolve all design issues.
- To prepare and submit a monthly report of the Services in a format acceptable to the OIC. The report shall include a summary of submissions from the Contractor and the status of review, a review of construction works and identification of problems that have arisen and measures that are taken to address them.
- To conduct routine technical briefings to the QSS team on-site supervision matters and shall provide guidance, advice and technical inputs, as necessary, for any works of a sensitive and specialized nature.
- To submit formwork structure evaluation report, formwork structure declaration form endorsed by QP(S), inspect the formwork structure installation and endorse on the Standard Formwork Structure Checklist.
- To instill and enhance safety awareness among the Supervision Team and actively participate in safety events organized by the Authority and/or the Contractor.
- To attend regular and ad- hoc meetings to resolve site and technical matters that require his advice and decision.
- QP(S) shall remain contactable at all times during the Contract Period, and shall establish a network of communication among his QSS team and shall furnish the OIC with the contact numbers to ensure smooth communication amongst the Supervision Team, the Contractor, and the Authority’s Project Management Team.
- To exercise his professional skill and judgment commensurate with his training and professional experience as spelled out in the Terms of Reference.
- To endorse on the prescribed form known as “Permit to Proceed with Excavation Work/Strut Removal”
- To obtain permits to commence work and submit prescribed reports and drawings, Certificates of Supervision of piling works/structural works for the Works, including all Temporary Works and Permanent Works.
- To submit Certificate of Inspection and Completion for Drainage Works, etc. as required for the handing over of drains and sewer works to the relevant authorities.
- To compile records, i.e. inspection records, repair records, test reports, etc. in PDF format (in CD) and submit them to the OIC for records.
- To undertake to review, accept and endorse all submissions and make applications and inspections etc. for TOP/CSC (including TOP for all traffic decking and partial TOP as and when required) on behalf of the Authority. His Services shall include liaison and coordination with the Authority's representatives and the A/E Consultants to collate all necessary certificates, permits, documents for onward submission to BCA and relevant agencies to obtain timely approvals of TOP/CSC.
Requirements
- The QP(Geo) are Professional Engineers registered with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
- The QP (Geo) shall have minimum 8 years of relevant experience in LTA related projects, of which at least 4 years shall be as a PE, in supervision of geotechnical aspects of the works similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contract.
