We are currently representing a leading real estate player in the APAC region, expanding its footprint into the fund management business with a global mandate. We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join the team.


We are looking for a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel with a strong background in private equity real estate to provide legal expertise and support the growth of our fund management business. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience working with top-tier private equity real estate firms, a deep understanding of fund formation, investment management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on fund formation, structuring, and documentation
- Advise on investment management agreements, side letters, and other investment-related documents
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., AIFMD, MAS)
- Negotiate and draft contractual agreements with investors, service providers, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, operations, and risk management
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for legal and regulatory compliance
- Manage relationships with external counsel and other advisors

Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a legal counsel in a top-tier private equity real estate firm or fund manager
- Strong expertise in fund formation, investment management, and regulatory compliance
- Qualification in Singapore/Hong Kong law (or equivalent)
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with global fund structures and cross-border transactions
- Familiarity with industry-standard documentation (e.g., LPA, PPM)
- Strong network and relationships with external counsel and industry experts
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., LLM) or specialized certifications (e.g., CFA)
