We are currently working with a reputable asset manager backed by a global private equity real estate player, seeking an experienced and talented Vice President of Engineering to join our team in Japan. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead asset enhancement and tenant fit-out projects across our portfolio of 300 assets in Japan
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance asset value, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including asset management, property management, and construction to ensure seamless project execution
- Manage and coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify opportunities for asset enhancement and improvement
- Develop and manage capital expenditure budgets for engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with Japanese building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Key Requirements:
- Native Japanese speaker
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, construction, or asset management, with a focus on asset enhancement and tenant fit-out projects
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and external consultants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and vendors
