We are currently working with an international Data Centre Operator to look for a Design and Construction Manager in Data Centre to join its expanding team in Japan . If you are successful in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment where decisions get made quickly and strategies and plans are put quickly in action to achieve the desired corporate objectives. Responsibilities:
-Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders of the projects

-Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents to internal and external stakeholders-Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and client stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

-Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals-Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

-Determine and assess need for additional project staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recommendations if necessary during project cycle.

-Set and continually manage Data Centre project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

-Manage schedule, cost, scope and quality for the deliverables, especially managing these with the external collaboration partners.

-Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

-Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

-Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

-Optimizing and improving processes and overall approaches where necessary


Requirements:

-Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred

-Minimally 7-10 years experience in relevant fields such as Data Centre greenfield Project Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Building Management Systems Integrations, or Project Management in other Critical Facilities

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Capacity to manage high stress situations.

-Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.

-Good time management and prioritization

-Attention to detail.

-Conflict resolution skills.

-Experience in Operational Tech (Chillers, UPS, Rack servers, Power Generators etc) and IT device(CCIS and networking etc) integration.

-Prefer candidates with experience in Data Centre implementations and/or operations

-Experience with Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) is an added advantage.

-Prefer candidates with experience in working in an R&D environment.
