We are currently working with an International Interior Design company that has a significant presence in Singapore to help bring in a Senior Quantity Surveyor as part of its expansion plan. Job Responsibilities:
- Management of bids and contract documents
- Oversee quantity acquisition, subcontractor and supplier procurement, pricing and submission preparation
- Oversee negotiation and procurement of materials and equipment throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee BQ preparation, variant ordering, cost estimating, cost control, and budgeting
- Supporting the project team in writing letters/reports and correspondence
- Undertake additional QA tasks after being assigned by top management
- Evaluate staff competencies and recommend QA staff training as needed
- Review and analyse company key performance indicators and outline improvement initiatives/actions
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a related field, preferably architecture/interior design or equivalent.
- Experience creating and adhering to strict budgets. Good valuation and financial analysis skills. A strong flair for numbers and spreadsheets.
- Deep understanding of construction, materials, pricing and industry
- Analyse financial records and apply data to improve results
- Analyse problems and develop strategies for better solutions
- Can work on multiple projects within a concurrent schedule
- Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, very self-motivated and a good team player
