We are currently representing a growing workplace interior design and fit-out firm in Thailand looking for a skilled senior quantity surveyor. Successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all costs related to building and construction projects. This position requires a professional who can ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Manage and control project costs from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring projects are completed within the budget.
- Budget Preparation: Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
- Tender Preparation: Review and prepare tender documents and contracts, ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) and risk assessments to ensure project safety and affordability.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with clients, architects, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers to secure the best terms for the company.
- Material Management: Check inventory levels and order materials as needed to prevent project delays.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects meet legal, quality, and sustainability standards
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data and financial information.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
- Professional certification from recognized bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is preferred.
