We are working closely with a global data centre commissioning professionals to look for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. If you are successful for this role, you will be working with a dynamic global team and enjoy an attractive remuneration package.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all mechanical commissioning and testing activities for systems like HVAC, cooling, airflow, and piping according to the project’s Scope of Work.
- Serve as an advisor to clients on technical aspects, coordinating discussions on mechanical, cooling, and structural engineering topics as needed.
- Act as the technical expert, advising clients on feasibility, practicality, costs, and resources at each stage of commissioning.
- Fulfill the role of on-site technical lead, gathering information from vendors, clients, and contractors to make informed decisions.
- Participate in client and contractor meetings to provide technical guidance and establish agreed-upon commissioning deliverables.
- Ensure all necessary certifications and documentation are provided by contractors and vendors for reference in commissioning documentation.
- Review and approve design documents to confirm they meet the client’s commissioning requirements, including BoD, OPR, and system schematics.
- Develop and approve test scripts, Inspection Test Plans, and Factory Acceptance Tests according to client needs.
- Enforce client project timelines, supervising all commissioning activities to meet performance specifications.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical P&IDs.
- Familiarity with mission-critical design concepts and Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS).
- Understanding of HVAC components like air handlers, humidifiers, CRAC/CRAH units, and sensors (temperature, humidity, flow).
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow, and the Test, Adjust, and Balance (TAB) process.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
