Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Operations:
Oversee the operations and maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, including air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire protection.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all M&E equipment is functioning efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements.
Coordinate and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance works for all M&E systems.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
Manage and supervise external vendors and contractors performing maintenance, repair, or improvement works.
Ensure all contracted services are delivered according to agreed service levels, budget, and timelines.
Evaluate and approve quotations for repair or replacement works.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with government regulations and safety standards, including proper documentation of permits and licenses.
Conduct safety briefings and inspections for all contractors and service providers working onsite.
Facilities Planning & Management:
Plan and execute M&E improvement projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to optimize operational costs.
Respond to emergencies such as power outages, equipment failures, and leaks promptly.
Team Management:
Supervise and guide the technical team in day-to-day operations.
Plan staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage for facility operations.
Provide technical advice and training to team members for skill development.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for the school management, addressing their operational needs and concerns.
Prepare and present reports on maintenance works, operational issues, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in M&E facilities management, with exposure to managing government school projects being a plus.
Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building maintenance, and relevant statutory regulations.
Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and technical teams effectively.
Certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or related safety standards is an advantage.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
