Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the CEO, leading the sustainability function and driving initiatives aligned with the company's vision.
- Establish and grow the sustainability business unit with strategic guidance from the CEO.
- Act as the primary advisor on sustainability improvements, including renewable energy adoption, pollution reduction, recycling, and educational programs for internal and external audiences.
- Balance practical and commercial considerations, ensuring strategies are cost-effective, feasible, and ROI-driven, with achievable KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to the expansion of sustainability projects and enhancing the company's portfolio.
- Implement a robust ESG reporting mechanism in collaboration with the team to ensure transparent and accurate sustainability reporting.
- Lead research and analysis of key ESG topics, crafting and executing sustainability strategies for the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and implement sustainability initiatives across operations.
- Provide expertise on sustainability risks and global best practices, ensuring organizational design and operations meet high industry standards.
- Stay updated on sustainability trends, regulations, and technologies, sharing insights to build organizational awareness.
- Evaluate and implement innovative sustainability projects, working with stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Inspire, analyze, report, and document sustainability projects, while mentoring team members to enhance their leadership and project management skills.
- Represent the organization to elevate its global sustainability leadership and reputation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Architecture, or Engineering-related fields.
- Over 10 years of experience in sustainability consulting within the built environment sector.
- Keen interest and enthusiasm for sustainability in buildings and infrastructure.
- A quick thinker who is adaptable and eager to learn new concepts, with a collaborative and agile mindset to leverage team expertise.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a structured approach and a proactive, results-oriented attitude.
- Proven track record in client-facing roles, managing projects, and building long-lasting client relationships.
- Proficient in building physics analysis to drive discussions and propose client solutions.
- Familiarity with engineering and architectural principles, with the ability to assess sustainability attributes in designs and identify improvements.
- Experience with preparing and certifying sustainability frameworks such as LEED, WELL, Green Mark, and EDGE.
- Industry accreditations such as Green Mark AP, LEED AP, and WELL AP are preferred, with relevant project experience being an advantage.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening skills to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders and deliver compelling reports.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams and regions.
- Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Experience in analyzing data and research to inform ESG solutions and supporting client decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, effectively meeting deadlines and client expectations.
