We are currently representing an international private equity real estate firm with a diversified portfolio of assets across multiple geographies. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Country Manager to lead our expansion efforts in Japan.

The Country Manager - Japan will be responsible for leading our business development and investment activities in Japan. This will involve identifying and pursuing new investment opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with local partners and stakeholders, and overseeing the management of our existing portfolio of assets in Japan. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of success in real estate investment and management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new investment opportunities in Japan, including sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, and negotiating transactions.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and industry professionals to support our business development and investment activities.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of our existing portfolio of assets in Japan, including working with local property managers, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for value creation.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to inform our investment strategy and stay up-to-date on market trends and developments.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of professionals in Japan, including providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate regularly with our global leadership team and other stakeholders, providing updates on our business development and investment activities, as well as market trends and insights.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, and manage risk effectively to protect our investments and reputation.

Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in real estate investment, management, or a related field, with a focus on Japan.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as real estate, finance, or business administration.
- Language: Fluent in Japanese and English.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Japanese real estate market, including market trends, regulations, and laws.
- Network: Established network of contacts in the Japanese real estate industry.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as RICS or CCIM, are a plus.
