We are currently working closely with a global Data Center Operator in seeking an experienced and skilled Design Engineering Group Head to lead our design engineering team in the development and implementation of data centre infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and engineering of data centre facilities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Develop and implement design standards, guidelines, and best practices for data centre infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, operations, and project management to ensure design intent is met
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design intent is met and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
- Communicate with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve design engineering processes and solutions

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on data centre infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in leading and managing design engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of data centre design standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Professional certification (e.g. PE, CEng) is desirable
