We are working with a multidisciplinary design and build firm that provides integrated solutions through experiential design and execution, specializing in interior architecture, exhibitions, and commercial spaces in their search for a Senior Designers here in Singapore
Key responsibilities:
- Develop creative & innovative design concepts.
- Understand the customer’s needs and the needs of the people using the space to develop design concepts in consultation with the customer.
- Present design concepts through digital presentations.
- Prepare design plans and specification documents for submission.
- Produce color / 3D visuals or perspectives as required.
- Take accurate as-built measurements for developing floor plans and elevations.
- Produce detailed construction drawings.
- Document all detailed drawings, including tracking approval (by customer), status and updating them to “As-built” status where appropriate.
- Effective management of design intent and development.
- Lead presentation of design concepts.
- Conduct site visits and researches ideas and materials.
- Manage design projects of varying scope and complexity including budgets, schedule, production & installation.
- Manage several design projects simultaneously.
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether objectives have been met.
- Choose the most appropriate materials for the design and budget.
- Create “mood boards” to sample design vision.
- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, new materials and best practices.
Key requirements:
- Degree or equivalent with significant experience in managing a range of design disciplines and design projects of varying scales.
- Skilled communicator who is able to communicate information effectively to a variety of individuals.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience with minimum of 3 years in a senior position.
- Knowledge of productions.
- Knowledge of 3D MAX, Auto-cad or similar programs.
- Independent, positive attitude & a strong sense of responsibility.
