With substantial backing from a leading Middle Eastern fund, the team is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. It is now seeking an exceptional Commercial Development and Investment Director to lead our existing team in Kuala Lumpur, driving acquisition, development, and operation of the upcoming data center, and spearheading future expansions.

We're looking for a seasoned Commercial Development and Investment Director with a proven track record in data center development, investments, and operations in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have expertise in identifying and acquiring strategic assets, negotiating complex agreements, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial development and investment team in Kuala Lumpur
- Drive acquisition processes for greenfield and brownfield data center sites
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies
- Develop and execute business plans, financial models, and investment strategies
- Negotiate and manage agreements with customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with regional teams on data center design, construction, and operations
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations and local laws
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and investments
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and customers
- Provide commercial and investment expertise to inform regional strategies

Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data center development, investments, and operations in Malaysia
- Proven track record of successful data center acquisitions, developments, and investments
- Strong understanding of Malaysian market dynamics, regulations, and cultural nuances
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead and manage high-performing teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of data center design, construction, and operations
- Familiarity with industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, Tier certifications)
- Network of contacts within the Malaysian data center industry
- Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin
