Our client is Southeast Asia’s leading co-living platform, making renting as easy as booking a hotel. They offer beautifully furnished rooms and hassle-free living experiences for young professionals in vibrant urban centres. Backed by world-class investors and operating in multiple countries, they are now expanding to South Korea, and they are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to spearhead this exciting journey.

As the Country Manager for Korea, you will be responsible for launching, scaling, and leading the operations in South Korea. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role suited for a commercially savvy operator who thrives in a startup environment.


Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep market analysis to validate product-market fit and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market plan aligned with overall strategy.
- Localize service offering to meet the needs of Korean consumers.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with landlords, property developers, and agents.
- Build relationships with government bodies, real estate associations, and other key stakeholders.
- Set up local operations including legal, financial, and HR frameworks in coordination with HQ.
- Recruit and lead a high-performing local team across operations, sales, and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention through both online and offline channels.
- Oversee pricing strategy, occupancy, and P&L to meet revenue targets.
- Lead local marketing initiatives to build brand awareness.
- Represent market in leadership discussions, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Report on KPIs, forecasts, and strategic progress to senior management.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a general management, country leadership, or startup leadership role.
- Proven experience in launching or scaling a business in Korea.
- Experience in either of these industries: co-living, co-working, senior living, hospitality. 
- Fluent in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
