We are currently representing an international hospitality operator seeking a highly skilled Director of Sales to drive the sales efforts for its luxury resorts in Indonesia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with key management to gain valuable experience in driving sales strategies with a top class hospitality organization. Key Responsibilities:
- To oversee the Sales operations in both Singapore and Indonesia.
- To develop the hotel’s Sales strategy in conjunction with the mission, goals and objectives of the hotel and presents to management team.
- To business develop and collaborate with companies, businesses and lifestyle communities in area such as sports, wellness, music, F&B, schools, associations, club etc. 
-  Responsible for hiring, training, performance appraisal, leading, motivating and directing team members within the Sales Department.
- Setting of S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results Oriented, and Time- bound) goals for the sales team and self.
- Ensure appropriate deployment of sales resources against targeted segments according to the hotel business plan and seasonality where needed.
- Implementation of CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) in cooperation with management team. 
- Ensure standard contracts and sales forms support the sales efforts and are utilized in cooperation with  the management team. 
- Sourcing of new business opportunities through research, hotel presentations, company visits, and appropriate site inspections, product familiarization trips for clients. 
- Generate business from defined feeder markets through tradeshows, exhibitions and undertake business development trips as agreed with the General Manager & Regional Sales Director. 
- Negotiate and administer all sales contracts; record and monitor room night targets for accounts, analyze results and take appropriate corrective action according to the needs of the business. 
- Establish close working relationship with key stakeholders. 
- Facilitate development of package elements as well as MICE offerings. 
- Execution of wedding and event strategy. 
- Liaise with Reservation/Revenue Department to ensure all account rates are loaded correctly and reservation clerks are trained in sales skills. 
- Facilitate weekly sales strategy meetings with the revenue/reservation manager. Facilitate a monthly Sales Team meeting to discuss current and future strategies with the sales team. 
- Monitor competitor activities to ensure regular rate analysis, competitor site visits. 
- Communicate market trends and competitor occupancy levels to the General Manager and management team. 
- Represent the company at relevant industry networking events. 
- Submit monthly Sales Activity Reports in an agreed format to the management team and owners of the hotel. 
- Ensure that all control procedures pertaining to the processing of revenue are adhered to at all times, and any discrepancies are reported to the General Manager immediately. 
- Communicate the correct usage of trademark logo. 
- Oversee the correct usage of appropriate, accurate and error free copywriting in all Sales materials, collateral and general hotel information. When in doubt to consult Corporate Director of Marketing Communications. 
- Oversee the conceptualization, planning and execution of tactical and strategic (i.e. brand building) marketing programs to stimulate incremental consumer demand and revenue 
- Evaluate the sales needs and requirements of key stakeholders (customers, employees, owners, suppliers) and develop a long-term relationship platform 
- Develop and execute the annual advertising campaign plan incorporating any activity in a calendar of promotions or events 
- Create and distribute direct mailer and email blasts to communicate promotions 
- Strategize, budget and implement plans promotions for the hotel/resort property 
- Manages the development and execution of promotional opportunities 
- Oversee the budgeting for all sales initiatives, cooperative sales campaigns, sales & promotion collateral, billing administration and manuals 
- Achieve budgeted revenues for the financial year as agreed and predetermined with the General Manager and management team. 
- Actively participate in the budgeting and forecasting process ensuring targets are achievable and realistic and suit the property and company business needs. 
- Operate within the annual budget guidelines, monitoring and controlling, on an ongoing basis, departmental costs to ensure performance against budget so to maximum revenue and ensure profitability is achieved for the hotel. 
- Be part of the key business decisions making team within the hotel controlling the optimum market mix according to budget, market conditions and recent forecasts. 
- To prepare statistical performance as necessary. Be aware of market trends and competitive set, monitor and evaluate as necessary. 
- Hold Regular meetings with the Sales, Reservations and Front Office team with regards to day to day rate strategies. Information system requirements 

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury resort setting.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- To have good numeric, literacy and computer skills, possessing Microsoft Word, Excel (essential), Power-point and preferably a knowledge of Hospitality PMS is desirable.
