We are working with a company specializing in providing custom design and engineering solutions with a focus on quality and innovation in seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manger based in Malaysia
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of materials and costs specific to our trade, coupled with strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Key responsibility:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s operational and financial goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and delivery.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of materials used in our trade, including their costs, specifications, and applications.
- Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and maintain supplier accountability.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure expenditures are within approved limits.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and purchase orders to delivery and invoicing.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analysis and supplier performance metrics.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within the industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials and costs relevant to the trade.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
